Attending a show at Dr. Phillips Center or a concert at Amway Center? We love how the theater scene has burst into life in downtown Orlando and the addition of the Dr. Phillips Center of Performing Arts has played a large role. This beautiful theater hosts a variety of musicals, Broadway productions and concerts. Why not make a full night of it and enjoy dinner at one of the fabulous downtown restaurants. Below is a list of our picks for pre- or post-theater dining, all walking distance from the theater and Amway Center.

Kres
Located on the lively Church Street, this steakhouse is a staple in downtown Orlando. The food is wonderful and the environment is cozy but still sophisticated. Serving steaks, seafood and cocktails, Kres is open until midnight Monday – Saturday making it an excellent post-theater option.
Chela Tequila & Tacos
The swanky and contemporary restaurant features innovative tacos and mexican dishes. Chela’s Happy Hour, which runs on most days from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm makes it an excellent choice for pre-theater cocktails and snacks.

The Boheme Restaurant
The Boheme Restaurant is the closest restaurant to Dr. Phillips Center. Located inside the Grand Bohemian Hotel, this restaurant is often overlooked. Set in an elegant and dramatic dining room, The Boheme features steaks, wonderful appetizers and an extensive wine list. We recommend the Boheme for a date night or special occasion. If you are looking for something quick and casual, check out their lounge which offers a smaller but still impressive menu.

Artisan’s Table
Artisan’s Table features creative and handcrafted dishes and signature craft cocktails. The menu changes by season and availability, but past dishes include Chorizo Arancini and Herb-Crusted Lamb Chops. The food is fresh and the dining room is casual and eclectic. Located on Church Street, Artisan’s Table is conveniently located close to Dr. Phillips Center and Amway.
Ceviche
Located on Church Street, this tapas restaurant is one one of the closest to Amway Center. The atmosphere is fun, the food is delicious and the sangria is free flowing. As the name suggests, this Spanish-themed restaurant specializes in fresh ceviche but also features a wide and extensive menu which includes, paella, charcuterie and an amazing selection of tapas. Ceviche is open late so it is a great post-theater or post-concert choice. You may even catch a lively flamenco show!
